November 27, 2001. Third edition draft of legislation to
establish the Professional Peaceworker Corps circulated to five U.S. Senators
for comments.
February 16, 2002. Presentation about the global SPD system to
the Peace Forum, American University, Washington, D.C.
June 2002. Letters sent to every member of the U.S.
Congress proposing a constitutional amendment designating the President as the
principal Peace Worker of the United States.
September 10-16.
2002. Visit to the University of Jordan to discuss establishing the SPD
program in the Middle East.
October 21, 2003. University of Jordan formally adopts the SPD
program and starts implementation.
December 8, 2003.
Presented the SPD program to the Department of Peacekeeping Operations and the
Department of Political Affairs, UN Headquarters in New York.
January 23-30,
2004. Visit to Univ. of Jordan to
conduct Needs Assessment Survey.
February 23-27, 2004. Visit to the University of North Texas, and
the University of Texas at Austin, to present the SPD program.
March 30-April 1,
2004. Visit to the University of
Texas – Pan American, to present the SPD program.
June 23, 2004. Revisit to University of North
Texas to advance discussion of SPD system.
April 2005. Visits
to the University of Kansas, and Tribal Colleges
in Kansas, South Dakota, New Mexico, and Arizona to present the SPD program.
November 2005. Visit to Japan and SPD presentations to
Hiroshima U., Ritsumeikan U., Soka U., and the Tokyo University of Foreign
Studies
April 2006. Visit
to the University of Missouri to present the SPD program.
October 18-20, 2006. Memorandum
of Understanding (MOU) with the Peace Studies Program at the University of
Missouri drafted and signed.
November 2006. Visit
to universities in South Africa, Uganda, and Tanzania. MOU signed with the
University of Dar es Salaam.
April 2007.
Visit to Ohio: Wilmington College, Dayton International Peace Museum, Ohio State
University, Sinclair Community College, Xavier University, Antioch College.
May 2007. Visit to the U.S. Institute of Peace; the
American University; and the Office of Representative David Hobson (R-Ohio).
Nov 2007. Visit to Egypt to present the SPD program at the American University in Cairo, Cairo University, Alexandria University, and the Institute for Peace Studies at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina.
